As of 2001 June 26, our web hosting service provider, Interland, has disabled all anonymous FTP access. Here is the message I received from Interland Customer Support announcing the change:
Unfortunately, the cheapest dedicated hosting solution runs over $200/month—we are currently paying $19.95/month. Since I simply cannot afford this increase in cost, I am looking for alternative solutions. In the meantime, you can help by modifying your processes to download the data via HTTP rather than FTP. This appears to be the best long-range solution since more and more web hosting services are restricting or eliminating anonymous FTP access. — T.S. Kelso |
